Cheap baseball at-a-glance

Using the ticket price data from February 22, I've created a graph for three different ticket types showing the percent above or below face value. This graph shows that ticket prices are below face value for just about half of the games. Furthermore, the highest priced tickets are only discounted steeply for the nearer-term games, while the less expensive tickets are already discounted heavily for games later in the season.

Sampling of prices for Yankee home games

Welcome to Yes! Cheap Baseball! This first post is the aggregated data for Yankee home games through mid-May. The cheapest games are highlighted in yellow. Note that prices for many of these games are falling fast, as you can see by the percent change data of the ticket price this week versus last week. Single game tickets have yet to go on sale, which will increase the supply of tickets and may push prices down even further. Check back for updates!
